Gates and curtains for production and industrial premises
Show more
Gates and fire barriers for industrial warehouses of finished products and for production workshops have, as a rule, the maximum possible dimensions and should be quite reliable. The breakdown and further repair of the gate can stop unloading or loading of materials or finished products. Even minor delays can disrupt the production plan and bring significant losses.
Improperly working or broken fire barriers can lead to the spread of fire throughout the production premises, which threatens even greater losses. Therefore, when choosing industrial production gates with insulation or in fire-fighting design, it is necessary to pay special attention to the quality of products and the experience of the installation team. It is best when the installers are directly from the manufacturer, they can always promptly fix minor defects in the opening or finished products.
One of the main requirements for industrial gates is stability in the wind. A large canvas in some wind regions is difficult to use because of the large wind load. Swing gates in such regions even pose a danger and it is quite difficult to hold them manually. The roll-up structure of the gate in strong winds is the most stable and safe, it will not hit a person or a vehicle passing through the opening, as a swing structure can do. To strengthen the roller gates, special wind hooks are used, which securely hold the canvas in the guides. For snowy regions, roll-up gates are also preferable, since it is not necessary to pre-clear the space in front of the gate to open. The canvas rises up and no snow will prevent opening or closing.
In addition to the entrance gates, it is often necessary to isolate individual industrial premises already inside the workshops or on the production site. We can separately highlight some rooms where we have experience in installing fire barriers and technical gates:
As you know, many production processes are fire-hazardous, therefore, special attention is paid to the rules of fire safety in production. Fire barriers are installed between workshops, warehouses and production lines (according to the design and calculation of fire risks) to prevent the spread of flames throughout the production.
A separate system is designed for refrigerators and freezers, in which the speed of opening and closing the gates is important to reduce cold loss. On one side of the opening, high-speed PVC gates can be installed, which operate at high speed and with a large cycle. On the second side of the opening, fire-resistant curtains or fire-fighting gates are installed, which are closed only in case of a fire and a fire protection system check. In freezers, it is possible to consider the installation of sectional or roll-type industrial gates. Due to low temperatures, PVC gates can work unstable, the canvas becomes rigid and brittle, the lifting speed slows down.
For testing laboratories where various, including dangerous, tests can be carried out, the installation of fire-proof gates or curtains is also required.
For painting and drying chambers where the temperature reaches 100-200 degrees, industrial gates AL-120 with aluminum lamellas filled with polyurethane foam or stone wool can be used.
Since many industries use large trucks, damage to individual gate elements (guides, slats) is not excluded. It is better to entrust the repair to the installation organization from the manufacturer. This will eliminate problems with the supply of spare parts and further docking with the main part of the gate.

Which gates are used by manufacturing companies
Manufacturing companies have large hangar-type premises for placing equipment in them, for the production and storage of finished products. Loading equipment, raw materials and containers into the premises requires large openings for the arrival of trucks (loaders, dump trucks, trucks) and even rail transport. There are no standard sizes of hangar gates, but most often these are openings with a width and height of at least 5 meters. Some industries require openings up to 20 meters wide or more.One of the main requirements for industrial gates is stability in the wind. A large canvas in some wind regions is difficult to use because of the large wind load. Swing gates in such regions even pose a danger and it is quite difficult to hold them manually. What types of industrial and industrial premises are closed with gates and curtains MBA
In addition to the entrance gates, it is often necessary to isolate individual industrial premises already inside the workshops or on the production site. We can separately highlight some rooms where we have experience in installing fire barriers and technical gates:
- transformer substations and diesel generators;
- drying chambers;
- painting chambers;
- storage facilities;
- production workshops;
- testing laboratories;
- conveyor lines;
- mining and metalworking and foundries.
Fire-fighting industrial gates and curtains for enterprises and workshops

Installation of large industrial and industrial gates and curtains
When installing large industrial gates, a number of difficulties and nuances arise that are unknown to installers of ordinary garage doors. For example, during installation, special construction equipment is used to lift the roll of the gate, and for installers, a tower or large mobile scaffolding may be needed. Setting up automation, for further stable and correct operation of the gate structure, is also important.Since many industries use large trucks, damage to individual gate elements (guides, slats) is not excluded. It is better to entrust the repair to the installation organization from the manufacturer.
